Use these innovative charts to adjust, match and "paint" video cameras - and as on scene references for use in post. Multi-tasking charts. Say goodbye to your old chip charts and use high-performance FB Series CamAligns. Aligning cameras before you shoot can minimize time in post. Also, shoot your FB chart to film or tape as an on-scene reference, to facilitate color correcting and matching footage. Easy to use. Instructions and on-chart checklists for suggested use enable many kinds of users to enjoy the full benefit of DSC's FB charts. Chart output is easily interpreted on familiar waveform and vectorscope displays, both in camera set-up and post. FB model for every budget and application. Your choice of - Professional, Standard and College. These compact double-sided charts save time and storage space, and are economically priced for tight budgets. Essential tools for HD. Broadcast camera factory presets are often not enough to ensure optimal image reproduction! Use FrontBox charts to match your camera's set-up with your project's distribution mechanism. (See Scott Billup's website, www.pixelmonger.com) Improve the contrast range of your images. The dynamic range of today's cameras and reproduction systems is over 10 times greater than that of a typical greyscale chart (50:1). Wide dynamic range grayscales on CamAlign and FB charts generate consistent signals more representative of those found in real-life. Make shadows neutral, every time. Reproduce grays faithfully through the entire tonal range, using "color-true" grayscales. Made with DSC unique technology (patent applied for) grayscale steps are spectrophotometrically neutral. Match and "paint" cameras with new 709 colors. DSC uses the latest ITU-R BT.709/SMPTE 274M reference primaries in all its test products. Professional model charts include a table of aim values and instructions. Adjust color controls to international standards, or develop your own unique, repeatable "look". Shoot and project sharp images. All FB models feature DSC's extended BackFocus pattern. This unique "bowtie" star is an ideal tool for checking/setting camera BackFocus. When captured on tape or film, DSC's BackFocus pattern also functions as a convenient "frame and focus" chart for HD. FrontBox Series ... or regular CamAligns? Like regular CamAligns, FB Series Charts are wide dynamic range and washable. While regular CamAligns are mounted on aircraft aluminum, light weight FrontBox charts are plastic-mounted. Manufactured to slightly wider tolerances than regular CamAligns, production-oriented FB charts do not include individual calibrations. For critical engineering applications, please see CamAlign Chip Charts.
