American Grip Dana Dolly Baby Combo Stand

The American Grip Dana Dolly Baby Combo Stand is designed to securely hold the Dana Dolly Track Ends. Extra low combo stand has a minimum height of 24", just the right height for eye level interviews. The top channel is welded to the top riser to prevent twisting. In addition, the stand has (2) leveling legs (rocky mountain legs) for quick leveling on uneven surfaces. Can also be used as a conventional combo stand with 1 1/8" receiver. Optional wheel set available for rolling on smooth surfaces.

1-1/4" Speed Rail T6 Aluminum

This is a single piece of 1-1/4" Speed Rail made of 6061-T6 Aluminum. This is schedule 40 aluminum tubing, very common on movie sets because it has so many uses. Filmtools stocks a variety of fittings and accessories for this size of Speed Rail (see below). This size speed rail can also be used as track with some dollies such as the Dana Dolly.

The Dana Dolly Rental kit with Universal Track Ends is an affordable camera dolly system that can go with you virtually anywhere. Designed by a key grip with over 20 years' experience in all types of production, it is both simple and practical. The Dana Dolly is easy to set up, it can be used with a variety of track options, and can be supported using standard junior stands, apple boxes, or the ground, whatever the shot requires. A popular choice is using the Matthews Low Boy Combo stand as this stand can be used with "combo adapter wheels" so you can roll the dolly into place when the terrain permits. The dolly itself has a Mitchell Mount that can take all types of camera heads, and this kit includes bowl adapters for 75mm, 100mm and 150mm heads. The sixteen-wheel design with floating trucks provides a smooth glide. The track ends will work with standard size pipe from 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" (1.66" O.D. to 1.9" O.D.) or tubing of the same O.D. So if you're on location and don't want to pack track, you can stop by a homecenter and pick up some pipe or conduit as an alternative to the Schedule 80 aluminum pipe the manufacturer recommends for everyday use. Will work with both "Baby" 5/8" Pin, and "Junior" 1 1/8" Receiver stands, however Junior stands are recommended.
