The Zacuto FS5/FS5 II Z-Finder Recoil Pro V2 is a shoulder rig that is compatible with the Sony FS5 and FS5 II cameras. When purchasing the Zacuto FS5/FS5 II Z-Finder Recoil Pro V2, you will receive the VCT Pro Baseplate, the FS5 Trigger Grip, the FS5 Trop Plate, and the FS5 Z-Finder - everything you need to head out on a shoot with your camera ready and secure on your shoulder. To ensure that the Zacuto FS5/FS5 II Z-Finder Recoil Pro V2 is balanced correctly, Zacuto put this rig together following their Recoil Rig philosophy. This means that the balance point is placed directly over your shoulder. The camera body is behind your shoulder, which relocates focus, monitoring, and camera controls forward. This system makes for a lighter, shorter, and properly balanced rig. 

The VCT Pro plate supports the camera with 10" of forward/back balance adjustment and includes 15mm rods and rod clamps for rod-mounted accessories. The VCT Pro also enables your rig to go from your shoulder to tripod and back without removing accessories. The Trigger Grip relocates the camera's handgrip to an articulating arm, so you can use all the grip's functions while comfortably supporting the rig on your shoulder. The FS5 Top Plate mounts on your camera, whether FS5 or FS5 II, and provides the capability to attach accessories to your camera without stressing its body. The Z-Finder Loupe mounts on your camera, providing you with a flip-up viewing system.

VCT Pro Baseplate

The Zacuto VCT Pro Baseplate features a built-in curved shoulder pad, an Arri M6 rosette, quick-release 6.5" rods and lightweight rod ports. The v-wedge tripod connector is compatibe with the VCT14 tripod adapter plates or can be connected to your tripod quick release plate via the 1/4-20" and 3/8-16" screw holes. The Pro baseplate is compatible with al lcameras including Canon EOS C-series, Sony FS4 and FS7, AJA CION, BlackMagic, RED cameras, ARri Alexa and Amira, DSLRs, Mirrorless and more.

The red sliding top plate offers easy adjust-ability for lens changes, removing your camera, and balancing your rig correctly on your shoulder. This sliding plate combined with a double screw track offers 10” of camera balance sliding range. You can quickly release your camera from the rig by sliding the red plate completely off and using our VCT Pro Dock to quickly transition it to a tripod, slider, etc.

The lightweight, adjustable rod mount is set far back in the plate, offering plenty of accessory-capable area under the camera lens. This allows you to position your camera further back on the plate, keeping the balance point of your rig directly over your shoulder. Sony FS5 Trigger Grip

The Zacuto Sony FS5 Trigger Grip is compatible with the Sony FS5 camera grip. With this, you can attach your Sony FS5 camera to camera supports that provide an ARRI-standard rosette. This includes the Zacuto VCT Pro baseplate. You can rotate the entire unit a full 360° just by pressing a lever, without having to worry about screwing or unscrewing any knobs, which makes the set easy-to-use and convenient. Another lever gives you the possibility of adjusting the length of the device.

FS5 Top Plate

Offering the ability to seamlessly integrate accessories into the FS5 shooting workflow, the FS5 Top Plate from Zacuto comprises a dedicated plate with a built-in 15mm side-facing rod lock to permit attaching various 15mm rod accessories to the camera. Included with the top plate is a separate 3"-long 15mm rod for mounting accessories, such as the FS5's LCD with attached Z-Finder. Both sides of the top plate also incorporate one 3/8"-16 and five 1/4"-20 threaded mounts, as well as custom-sized screw holes for relocating the Sony cable holder and film plane marker.

FS5 Z-Finder for Sony FS5 Camera

The Zacuto FS5 Z-Finder for Sony FS5 Camera is pecifically designed to fit the Sony FS5 camera's included monitor. To use the Z-Finder, you simply need to slide it onto the FS5 LCD and it will lock securely into place. If needed, the Z-Finder can be popped on and off the frame for quick shooting, and you also have the ability to flip the Z-Finder up without it needing to be removed from the frame. It is a practical tool to have when on a shoot with producers, clients, or directors. If they want to see into the viewfinder, you can simply flip it open - no adjusting required.

It features a magnification factor of two, and a diopter adjustment wheel for tuning the finder to your eye. A custom-designed and built 40mm optic magnifies the camera's screen, and the rubber eyecup allows you to press your eye comfortably against the viewfinder for added stability when shooting handheld.

The two included extension frames are used when the diopter adjustment is insufficient for people who are farsighted, and can be used one at a time or together. The included mounting bracket positions the Z-Finder for shoulder-mounted shooting. This Z-Finder comes with a lens cap, sun mask, protective boot, and Z-Finder dust cover. Two included replaceable anti-fog disks, one of which comes installed, help prevent the optics from fogging up.
