The Tiffen 37mm Black ProMist Filter 1/2 is used to diffuse hard edges, reduce wrinkles in skin, and soften pastoral settings, rendering a mist look while minimizing light flare.

When used with digital video cameras, the lighter strengths like 1/2 and 1 help reduce the sharpness normally associated with video and yields a 'film look' to the image. These filters are our best selling 'film-look' filters. Note- when shooting scenics and you are looking for that film-look, try the 1/2. Stronger strengths may yield a muddy look.
