Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro (2TB)

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro (2TB) adds a desktop shuttle with a comprehensive video playback interface for live production. Its compact design allows multiple I/O connections and control via a 7" touchscreen, large search dial, and traditional broadcast-style buttons. This model includes a 2TB M.2 card for cache recording up to 16 Gb/s and features a built-in teleprompter for text files without third-party software.

Mastering Recorder

Supports ProRes, DNx, and H.264/265 recording with selectable PCM or AAC audio. Ideal for broadcast mastering and streaming platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, or integration with ATEM Mini switchers.

Media Player

Large search dial and playback buttons allow easy browsing of clip libraries. Remote control via ATEM switchers is possible over Ethernet. Playback stops at the end of clips, providing precise media management.

Built-In 7" Touchscreen

Interactive control for playback, recording, and menu adjustments. Includes a mini playback timeline for clip scrubbing, heads-up display (timecode, audio meters, media status), and broadcast scopes like focus assist and RGB histogram. Supports saving and loading 3D LUTs.

Traditional Broadcast Deck Controls

Machined metal search dial supports shuttle, jog, and scroll. Remote deck control is possible via Ethernet, while the touchscreen interface provides visual overlays and media scrubbing.

Internal and Network Storage

Record directly to internal M.2 flash storage, SD cards, or USB-C drives. Supports multi-user access over the network and integrates with Blackmagic MultiDock for multi-SSD recording. H.264 compression allows extended recording times (up to 157 hours on a 1TB card at 1080p59.94).

Codec Support

Supports popular codecs including ProRes, DNx, and H.264/265 in SD, HD, and UHD formats. Audio options include uncompressed PCM or AAC. Disks can be formatted as ExFAT (Windows) or HFS+ (Mac) for cross-platform compatibility. Long events can be recorded into a single video file.

USB connection provides live 1080p HD video input to software including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, OBS, and XSplit. Functions as a broadcast-quality webcam source.

Advanced HDR Support

Built-in HDR screen and wide color gamut. Automatically detects HDR input and applies static metadata PQ and HLG formats (ST2084). Supports Rec. 2020, Rec. 709, and DCI-P3 color spaces.

Built-In Teleprompter

Reads standard RTF text files. Allows script scrolling, font adjustment, and multiple script navigation using jog and scroll buttons.

Blackmagic Cloud Support

M.2 storage enables network storage and synchronization with Blackmagic Cloud. Supports live proxy upload for DaVinci Resolve remote collaboration.

Direct Metadata Entry

Digital slate for metadata, including take and reel number auto-increment. Metadata integrates with post-production software like DaVinci Resolve for shot organization.

Powered by Blackmagic OS

High-performance OS manages all HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro functions, including video recording, timecode, audio, menus, networking, and multi-disk media management. Menus are overlayed on video output and support light/dark modes.

Software and Streaming Compatibility

Files are compatible with post-production software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Avid, Final Cut Pro, Fusion, After Effects) and can be uploaded directly to streaming platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, Twitter).
