The Anton/Bauer VCLX NM2 Package is a complete high-capacity power solution for professional film and video productions, combining the 600Wh VCLX NM2 NiMH free-standing battery station with the VCLX 2 Charger and a 48" XLR charging cable in a single package. Engineered for demanding on-set environments, the Anton/Bauer VCLX NM2 Package delivers multi-voltage, high-current output across three simultaneous power connections, intelligent battery management, and built-in Wi-Fi for integration with Anton/Bauer's Fleet Management system.

600Wh NiMH Battery with Multi-Voltage Output

The VCLX NM2 battery station houses 48 NiMH cells delivering a total capacity of 600Wh. Power is distributed across three output types: two 4-pin XLR connectors at 14.4V / 12A each (supporting a combined 24A draw), one 3-pin XLR connector switchable between 28V / 16A and 48V / 12A, and one USB Type-A output at 5V / 2A. This multi-voltage configuration makes the battery suitable for a wide range of professional cinema cameras, monitors, lighting fixtures, and accessories that require different operating voltages. A 12V low-voltage cutoff protects the cells from deep discharge damage during extended use.

Microprocessor Fuel Computer and RealTime LCD

An integrated microprocessor fuel computer continuously monitors the energy flowing into and out of the battery, processing data that accounts for battery age, self-discharge rate, charge/discharge history, and cell imbalance. This information is used to maintain an accurate real-time picture of remaining capacity, displayed as a percentage on the built-in RealTime LCD panel. Three tactile buttons provide intuitive menu navigation. The battery constantly refines its state-of-charge model as it is used, transmitting updated data to the charger automatically during each charge cycle for the most efficient and accurate charging possible.

Smart Fuse Protection and Fleet Management

Internal smart electronic fuses provide automatic protection against overcurrent events, self-resetting and healing once the battery determines conditions are safe. Each fuse event is internally logged with a date and time stamp for later review. Built-in Wi-Fi enables communication with Anton/Bauer's Fleet Management software, which provides remote visibility into battery health metrics including product ID, learned capacity, cycle count, and time-stamped error records — making it practical to track and manage multiple units across a large production inventory.

VCLX 2 Charger

The included VCLX 2 Charger features a slim, portable design that mounts magnetically onto the side of the VCLX NM2 battery for compact storage and transport. Using an advanced charging algorithm that maintains constant communication with the battery's onboard computer, the charger delivers the fastest available charge for the VCLX NM2 platform, reaching full capacity in approximately five hours. The charger accepts 90–240 VAC input via the included US IEC power cord, making it suitable for international use with an appropriate IEC cable. A built-in 3-pin XLR connector allows charging via the included XLR cable or any compatible 3-pin XLR source.

XLR Charging Cable and Build Quality

The included 48" Anton/Bauer XLR Charging Cable is purpose-built for the VCLX NM2 and VCLX 2 pairing, featuring one male and one female 3-pin XLR connector with 14 AWG wire gauge construction for safe, reliable high-current charging. The battery station itself is built around an anodized lightweight aluminum chassis with a bolted aluminum handle and overmolded elastomer end caps and handle grip, providing impact protection for the cells and durable handling through the rigors of daily production use.
